Greeley Hat Works is looking for a motivated Sales Associate to join our team. This position requires the candidate to be outgoing, well-spoken, and a team player with strong knowledge of product and customer service. Sales Associate duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about your products and recommend the right solutions. You should also be able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. To be successful as a Sales Associate, you should stay up-to-date with product features and maintain our store’s visual appearance in high standards. Ultimately, the duties of a Sales Associate are to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals. Ideally, you will have previously worked in a sophisticated, client-centric retail environment. Successful candidates will be passionate about being present on the sales floor, thriving on first-hand contact with the team and our clients.

Sales Associate Duties & Responsibilities

• • Greets customers when they arrive
• • Interacts with customers, offering assistance and responding to queries about products and purchases
• • Provides recommendations according to customer needs or preferences
• • Locates merchandise for customers and places orders, where necessary
• • Shaping hats, taking custom head patterns, writing orders, restocking showroom
• • Operates cash register and handles cash payments and credit card processing
• • Handles refunds, exchanges and returns
• •Documents sales by updating customer records, filing paperwork and head patterns
• • Stays up to date with sales trends for better service and achievement of sales
• • Alerts the management of issues
• • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• • Demonstrates active listening and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience Requirements

• • High school diploma
• • Two years working in the service or retail industry preferred
• • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
• • Self-motivated
• • Friendly and strong commitment to customer service
• • Verbal and written communication skills
• • Interpersonal skills
• • Ability to stand for extended periods
• • Ability to lift merchandise weighing up to 20 pounds
• • Basic math and accounting skills
• •Must be 18 years old or older
• •Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Pay: $15-20/Hour Part Time and Full Time Available

Business Hours: Monday-Friday- 10am-5:30pm Saturday 9am-3pm Closed Sundays

Performance Evaluation:

Evaluations happen once a year with weekly and quarterly check-ins.

• Sales Revenue: The total revenue generated by the sales associate through their sales efforts.

• Sales Targets: The achievement of sales targets or quotas assigned to the sales associate.

• Conversion Rate: The percentage of leads or prospects that the sales associate successfully

• Customer Satisfaction: Feedback from customers regarding their experience with the sales associate.

Greeley Hat Works tracks and measures social media metrics regularly to understand how well social media strategies are performing and make adjustments as necessary to optimize performance.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
